APPLE VALLEY, ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – In a perfect world, children are born with 20 primary teeth and 32 permanent teeth.

Sometimes, however, children can be born with supernumerary teeth- a condition known as hyperdontia- meaning they have teeth that exist in addition to the normal series of teeth, said Eagan and Apple Valley Orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth.

ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Patients of the Apple Valley, MN orthodontics practice of Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth gave generously once again this year during her annual candy buy-back program.

Patients donated close to 800 pounds of candy, which will be donated to U.S. Troops serving overseas, said Eisenhuth, an Apple Valley orthodontist.

But sometimes, straightening teeth isn’t so simple; particularly in the case of impacted teeth, said Apple Valley Orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth.

December 24, 2008- ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Minneapolis braces expert Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth recently attended an American Association of Orthodontics professional development event in New York City.

The mid-November event’s topic was “Orthodontist as CEO” and although geared primarily toward honing administration techniques, the event also provided time for sharing information on the latest orthodontic treatment techniques.

Eisenhuth attends several professional development events annually.

October 13, 2008- ST. PAUL AND MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Halloween can be a tough time for Minneapolis Orthodontist Dr. Jennifer Eisenhuth. Kids go trick-or treating and come home with loads of chewy, sticky candies. Days later, they come in for check-ups with bent wires or broken appliances caused by eating those candies. Four years ago, Eisenhuth decided to strike a deal with her young patients- exchange those candies that wreak havoc on braces for other treats instead.
